“We’re in the second leg of the tour, and there actually has been a sudden change,” Jackson says in the clip. “I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family. So I’m going to have to delay the tour.”
“Please, if you can try and understand it’s important that I do this now,” she continues. “I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”
Jackson’s tour began last year in Vancouver, Canada, and marked the first time she had been on the road in 4 years.
The 2016 portion of the tour had been previously delayed when the singer had to undergo surgery for an unspecified reason. Jackson later announced on Twitter that she did not have cancer and had been given a clean bill of health.
Jackson closed her video by expressing her gratitude for her many fans: “Thank you to all the fans for your love, your undying love, your loyalty, that means so much to me.
“You are truly appreciated and it’s been a long journey, and you guys have been there each and every step of the way.”
