Daily Drop is currently seeking one to two full time writers to work out of our office in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of Sneaker Culture and interest in other related topics (i.e. Streetwear, Art, Technology/gadgets). College students are welcome to apply and part time may be available for the right candidate.
Requirements:
• Excellent writing skills. The writing has a casual tone but should be well written.
• Strong knowledge of sneakers in general. You should know the entire Air Jordan product line, understand differences between Dunk and Dunk SB and have the following terms in your vocabulary: quickstrikes, hyperstrikes, PEs, tier-0. Knowledge of brands other than Nike is imperative.
• Internet savvy. Knowledge of effective google search terms, keywords, web technologies, seo, are all desired but not required.
• Knowledge of Wordpress is desired but not required.
• Knowledge of photo editing (Photoshop or similar) software is required.
Salary:
After an initial two-week trial period, a monthly salary will be established dependent upon experience and/or education. After three months, the salary will be reevaluated based on performance and will include three paid sick days per calendar year, one week paid vacation and bonuses including free promo items. Unfortunately at this time we are unable to provide medical insurance, but hope to be able to do so at some point in the near future.
