Today I’m going to mix things up a little to keep you on your toes. In the past week, we’ve seen TONS of great transfer bonuses pop up, so I want to take today’s newsletter to share the three best ones with you and how you can maximize them.

🏨 70% transfer bonus to IHG
As you may have guessed, this is probably the most exciting of the current transfer bonuses out there…
Seeing a 70% bonus from any bank to any program is extremely rare. And while IHG might not be the most exciting transfer partner out there, it’s still definitely worth considering.
Here are the details:
Until July 31st, you can receive a 70% transfer bonus from this bank to IHG
There is no cap on the number of points you can transfer
So let’s talk about this. As I said, 70% is a HEFTY bonus. At the same time, IHG points are worth far less than some other points, such as Hyatt, so you should be careful not to overvalue the opportunity.
I personally took advantage of this a few days ago, and it kind of saved my butt.
A few weeks ago, I used my whole IHG stash of points to book an awesome stay early next year, so I was left with zero points in my account.
However, this transfer bonus allowed me to book this awesome hotel in Kanazawa, Japan, next month by transferring just 4,500 of these points to IHG.
That means I booked my whole 4-night stay for just 18,000 points, which is a huge steal.
If you want to take things to the next level and book a hotel like the stunning Hotel Indigo in Hong Kong, you could get a lot more value for your points.
At 32,000 points per night, you’d only need to transfer 18,800 points per night from this bank, thanks to this sweet bonus.
One quick disclaimer that I’ll give you is that as many of you know, IHG frequently sells their points for pretty cheap.
So if you have other ways to use your points and want to maximize their value, you might want to wait for the next sale and just buy some IHG points for the time being.
🇬🇧 30% transfer bonus to British Airways Avios
Avios is one of the coolest points currencies out there. It’s the currency you use to book flights with British Airways, Qatar Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus. You can also freely transfer Avios between all of those programs, making them incredibly flexible.
That’s why it’s so exciting that this bank (different from the one above) is now offering a 30% transfer bonus to both British Airways and Iberia.
This transfer bonus last for almost two months, until August 31st, so you have plenty of time to mull it over and look for some sweet flights.
Personally, I love using Avios, mainly on Qatar Airways. As a frequent cross-continent traveler, passing through the Middle East is always convenient, and I find that Qatar offers a lot of value for my Avios.
Because of all of the OneWorld alliance partners, this transfer bonus opens up opportunities to book flights on a whole slew of different airlines.
Next month, I’ll be flying from Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo on Malaysian Airlines, which I booked through British Airways for just 20,000 Avios.
Don’t forget that one of the best business-class deals in the sky is flying from the U.S. to Madrid in Iberia’s luxurious business-class seat for just 35,000 Avios one-way.
That means that you could experience this for yourself by transferring just 27,000 points from this bank.
Overall, a 30% transfer bonus to Avios is a GREAT deal, and there is no shortage of awesome ways to use a healthy bonus of points.
✈️ 20% transfer bonus to Flying Blue
Ah, yes. Flying Blue. Classic.
Flying Blue (the points program of Air France and KLM) is generally the single best, easiest, and cheapest way to cross the Atlantic to almost anywhere in Europe.
Right now, this bank is offering a 20% transfer bonus to Flying Blue.
It’s not the most exciting bonus ever, but we also don’t often see transfer bonuses from this bank specifically, making it a rare opportunity if you have these points and want to get a little more bang for your buck.
This bonus only lasts until the end of this month, July 31st - so you’ll need to act quickly if you want to take advantage of it.
You can use Flying Blue to book flights from the U.S. or Canada to Europe for as little as 11,250 miles one-way.
With this bonus, a flight like this would only require you to transfer 9,375 points… which is a steal.
Personally, I needed to get to Vienna later this year to go be a badass and watch some hardcore Opera with a good friend of mine. I know, I’m VERY cool.
Thankfully, I booked my flight from Toronto to Vienna a few days ago for just 15,000 flying Blue miles.
As you know, Flying Blue has monthly deals called Promo Rewards, which offer discounts on specific routes.
But I’m afraid we’ve run out of time for today, so I won’t be able to tell you about these new Promo Rewards until tomorrow. So don’t miss it. 😉
In the meantime, I’d highly recommend taking advantage of this transfer bonus if you have some points to spare and want to get yourself to Europe sometime in the near future.
