This is certainly one of the best starter cards for Canadians. Not only does it have a low monthly fee, but it also earns valuable Membership Rewards points that can be transferred to airline and hotel programs. It's a valuable card without the high price tag or fuss of a premium card. The highlight of the card is that it earns 5X points on ALL eats and drinks including groceries, dining, bars, and even some gas stations/convenience stores.
