Bilt is back with another Rent Day. And this one is so good that I’m not going to waste your time with small talk.

On February 1st, you’ll be able to transfer Bilt points to Air Canada Aeroplan with up to a 150% bonus. 🤯

Your specific transfer bonus amount is based on your level of Bilt Elite Status, as follows:

• Blue member (no status): 75% bonus

• Silver: 100% bonus

• Gold: 125% bonus

• Platinum: 150% bonus

As you can see, even normal Bilt members with no status at all can take advantage of a whopping 75% transfer bonus here.

But you may be skeptical of this being a good opportunity due to the word “Canada” being in the name of the program. After all, Canada isn’t exactly at the top of most peoples’ travel lists right now… 😬

So let me tell you why this is a good opportunity ESPECIALLY for you ‘mericans.

Aeroplan is one of the best points programs in the world. Period. They have more airline partners than any program on earth, a reasonable award chart, and flexible and cheap stopovers for just 5,000 points.

If you want to use these points to travel domestically in the U.S., you can book flights on United for as little as 6,000 Aeroplan points one-way.

Even if you don’t have Bilt status, you’re effectively buying this flight for 3,400 Bilt points… 🤯

But there are even some better ways to leverage Aeroplan points from U.S. cities.

For example, let’s say you live in The Big Apple and want to take a quick holiday to Mexico.

If you were to book a nonstop flight with United, you’d have to shell out around 27,000 United miles in economy or over 60,000 in business class…

But if you use Aeroplan miles to book the same exact flight on United, your flight will be priced according to their award chart, which comes out to just 12,500 Aeroplan points in economy or 25,000 in business class.

With no Bilt status, you’re booking this economy flight for just over 7,000 Bilt points.

So again, you’re flying the EXACT same United flight but saving over 20,000 points by using Bilt’s bonus to Aeroplan.

And if you still aren’t convinced, let me give you one last treat before I let you go…

Aeroplan has some amazing partner airlines around the world, allowing you to book some of the world’s best premium airline seats, like Emirates’ famous first-class.

Aeroplan has some pretty high prices on Emirates first-class… But with this transfer bonus, it becomes a no-brainer in some cases.

For example, I was recently looking at some ways to get back to Toronto next month from Bangkok.

One of the options was to fly to Europe or the Middle East first. I could book this flight on Emirates first-class for 138,000 Aeroplan points.

That’s definitely a hefty chunk of points for a 7-hour flight… But if you’re using Bilt’s transfer bonus, you’d be booking this world-class, bucket list flight for as little as 55,000 Bilt points… which is INSANELY good.

So here’s the bottom line:

This is an amazing opportunity. Regardless of your level of Bilt status, you can get extremely outsized value from your Bilt points with this transfer bonus.

Hotel programs are packed with many ways to earn little batches of points.

At first glance, they probably don’t seem very meaningful… but if you add them all up, it’s actually pretty crazy how many points you can earn with little effort.

So today, I’m going to do something weird. I’m going to just list out bullet points of all of the ways that you can earn hotel points from doing simple tasks.

Here we go:

Marriott Bonvoy:

• Sign up for a free account: Up to 7,500 points

• Refer a friend: Up to 50,000 points per year

• Link Uber account: 1,000 points

• Marriott Eat Around Town bonus: 6,000 points

Hilton Honors:

• Sign up for a free account: 3,000 points

• End-of-call offers: 500 points per offer

  • Note: When you call Hilton customer service, they’ll always ask you if you want to listen to an offer. If you do, you’ll get 500 points each time.

• Lyft Partnership: Earn 3x points per dollar on Lyft rides

IHG One Rewards:

• Sign up for a free account: Up to 5,000 bonus points

  • Note: This varies but generally applies to when you sign up for an IHG account in person at a property.

• “Greener Stay”: When you forgo housekeeping at certain IHG hotels, you’ll get 500 points per night.

And to be clear, these are not “promotions” but rather evergreen opportunities that anyone can take advantage of. Stacking these with member earnings, credit card points, and other promotions only boosts your points balances further!

If you were to do all of the above tasks, you’d earn 72,500 points, plus many more from all of the tasks you can do multiple times… That’s not nothing, folks!

So next time you see one of these offers for a small chunk of points, think about the long-term play of how they add up rather than the tiny individual chunk.
