Who doesn’t love a little train travel, eh?

Amtrak’s latest promo has been labeled as the “Roomette Free Companion Flash Sale.” A bit of a mouthful, but lucrative nonetheless.

Basically, if you book a roomette and bring along a companion, that second traveler can board at no extra charge… which is pretty great.

If you aren’t familiar with Amtrak’s roomette, it’s their most inexpensive private room model, but it does include two seats that transform into beds at night.

You’ll also have access to nearby bathrooms and showers, turn down service to transform your seats into beds when wanted, and lounge access at your departing station.

Plus, all of your meals are included on your journey! 🙌

It’s honestly not a bad setup at all. In fact, our beloved Kara recently booked a roomette with her mom on their Amtrak trip from California to Texas!

Hopefully, your journey won’t be as riveting with a wanted fugitive on board (if you’ve seen the video, then you know what I’m talking about 😅), but if you’re looking for a real-life tour, check out that video.

✈️ Breeze Airways Flash Sale

Dang, apparently it’s the newsletter of flash sales today because I have another one for you.

We’ve featured a few flash sales from this airline before, but if you aren’t familiar with Breeze Airways, they’re a low-cost airline that focuses on servicing smaller and mid-sized airports that many larger carriers don’t fly to.

By the looks of it, those of you on the East Coast will probably be more pleased than those of us on the West Coast.

However, there are still some connection points in that part of the country, so this becomes especially helpful if you are trying to make your way East to a connecting flight.

Their current promo is offering 40% off the base fare of flights by using the code GETCOMFY if you can book by TODAY, October 24, 2024 😬

The good news is that this is valid for travel from October 29, 2024, through May 13, 2025, but there are some blackout dates to be aware of that you can find here.

For example, I did a quick search for roundtrip flights from Dallas to Provo/Salt Lake City, Utah, this winter—in case you were looking to shred some fresh pow (I think snowboarders say that? I dunno…).

As you can see, by using the promo code GETCOMFY, I got 40% off the base fare, not the total cost (which includes taxes and carrier fees).

Still, $75 for a roundtrip flight to a popular winter destination is pretty solid.

But beware that since this is a low-cost airline, you’ll be charged if you want to pick your seat and bring additional luggage depending on what fare class you book.

And I would always do my research to see if a better deal was available to wherever I was going… like on Southwest, for example.

🏨 Marriott Bonvoy Escapes (20% off hotels!)

Have I mentioned yet there are a lot of last-minute sales going on??

If you’re eyeing a getaway in the coming weeks and you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member, they’re offering 20% off bookings for travel between October 28 and November 17, 2024… But you must complete your booking by Sunday, October 27.

I’m not sure how a guy wandering in the woods alone and looking up at a tree ties into staying at a Marriott property…

But if you visit the hotel’s last-minute deals page, you’ll see a ton of options for discounted stays across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas 👇

I’d also recommend that if you have one of the hotel’s co-branded cards, it’d be worth using it to pay for your stay to rack up extra points 😎

Overall, this is a nice little sale with a pretty decent travel window—especially if you have a card that can get you a great return on points earned for the cash cost.
