🏨 Buy IHG points with a 100% bonus
Every once in a while, buying points can be an amazing way to save money on hotel stays.
Generally speaking, it only makes sense when there’s a good bonus being offered.
Right now, for example, you can buy IHG points with a 100% bonus (or half a cent each).
The last time this offer came around, I missed out (because I was silly and forgot about the deadline) even though I really could’ve benefitted.
So… I’m DEFINITELY going to buy some IHG points.
Here’s why:
IHG has tons of properties around the world where the cost of buying points and booking nights is cheaper than paying cash for the same hotels on the same exact nights.
For example, this hotel in Kyoto, Japan, costs $185 per night.
A 4-night stay here would run you a cool $740… which is a lot for a Crowne Plaza…
Alternatively, you could simply purchase 70,000 points and book the same 4-night stay and pay a grand total of $350.
In this case, buying points would save you around $400!
I see opportunities like this all the time when I’m traveling, especially since I have this credit card that allows me to get every 4th night free when using IHG points.
So here’s my advice:
If you frequently use IHG points, then now is a great time to top up your balance to use down the road.
If not, I’d still run the numbers and compare cash and points prices at IHG hotels for any upcoming trips.
If buying points can save you a bunch of money, then go for it.

Okay, Air New Zealand!!! They earned the top spot as the safest airline in the world for 2024, according to AirlineRatings.com.
Known for its meticulous safety practices and customer-focused service, Air New Zealand operates a hub in Wellington (with some of the world’s windiest conditions) without compromising safety.
Qantas, Australia’s flagship carrier and one of the world’s oldest airlines, secured the second spot.
Virgin Australia, based in Brisbane, Australia, claimed the third-safest airline title (sensing a trend here?).
All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest airline, also made the top ten list for its exemplary safety standards.
