Good morning from sunny Miami — where the only thing hotter than the weather is the travel deals I’m about to hit you with. (Okay… also the beach. And the Cuban sandwiches. But mostly the deals.)
Either way, let’s dive in:

✈️ Southwest flights for $49
Southwest is back with one of its classic sales, and it’s honestly one of the better ones we’ve seen in a while (which doesn’t make up for all of the negative changes they’ve been dropping lately 😒).
Flights starting at just $49 one-way means you could plan that weekend escape, family visit, or spontaneous adventure without blowing your budget.
Here’s what you need to know:
Travel within the continental U.S. between April 8 and June 11, 2025
Travel to/from Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and international destinations between April 28 and May 21, 2025
Fares start at $49 one-way, but availability is super limited — don’t wait around.
These are Wanna Get Away fares only
Flights are non-refundable, but you can cancel and get travel credit.
Southwest sales don’t always line up with flexible travel windows and ultra-low fares, so if you’ve been meaning to plan trips for spring or early summer, this is your window!
For example, you can fly from Dallas to Austin for $49 with wide-open availability during April and May:
But the best part about this sale is that you can also use your Southwest points for awesome value…
For example, the flight I just showed you (and some other short routes) would only cost around 2,500 points, which is a fantastic deal.
Plus, free checked bags on Southwest is still a thing until May, so flights locked in during this sale will qualify for that.
This is great for:
Quick weekend trips you’ve been putting off
Visiting family without paying $400 round-trip
Pairing with points redemptions for super cheap positioning flights
If you do want to use points instead of cash, don’t forget that you can easily transfer Ultimate Rewards points to Southwest at a 1:1 ratio.

🏨 25% transfer bonus to Marriott
Alright, now onto a bonus that... well, let’s call it a situational win…
Right now there is a 25% transfer bonus when you move Membership Rewards points over to Marriott Bonvoy, but it ends on March 21st (tomorrow).
Let’s be real — Marriott points aren’t exactly the best value on the market. But if you’ve got:
A specific high-value redemption in mind (like a pricey luxury property or 5th-night-free booking)
A big stash of Membership Rewards points that you’re struggling to use
Or you’re just a little short on Marriott points for an upcoming trip…
…then this could make sense!
There are some REALLY good Marriott deals still out there that could make this opportunity worthwhile.
For example, I just booked five nights at this Marriott property in Luanda, Angola, for a couple of months from now:
It costs $181 per night, but just 6,000 Marriott points! Because of Marriott’s “buy four, get five” nights when using points, a five-night stay will only run 24,000 points.
That means that with this transfer bonus, you could book a $900 hotel stay for a grand total of 19,000 Membership Rewards Points.
Now it doesn’t sound so bad, does it? 😏
Anyway, here’s the bottom line:
For the right redemption, it could be well worth sending over Membership Rewards points to Marriott despite the underwhelming bonus amount.
Having said that, I’d avoid transferring points just for the sake of doing it. There will be better transfer bonuses down the road for sure.

That’s all for today, folks! I hope you enjoyed these quick deals to save some money on your next flight and hotel.
I gotta get to the airport again… wish me luck.
Ciao,
