🏆 Favorite pick of the week: JetBlue is offering a rare status match
JetBlue? Is that you? Offering a… status match?! 😱
Well, that doesn’t happen very often (like never).
How it works is if you have status with Alaska, American, Delta, or United, JetBlue will offer you a corresponding level of their Mosaic status for three months 👇
You can see from the image above that you’re only able to match to Mosaic levels 1 and 2, which are JetBlue’s lower elite levels.
Still, with Mosaic 1, you get two free checked bags; free inflight beer, wine, or liquor; priority boarding; and a handful of other perks.
With Mosaic 2, you also get the option to book extra legroom seats at no extra charge on every JetBlue-operated flight (pending availability).
So those status tiers aren’t for nothing.
But what’s also exciting with this status match is that you then have the ability to earn Mosaic 3 during those three months.
And that’s where it really starts to get good… As Mosaic 3 comes with four Mint upgrades, allowing you to upgrade your seat into JetBlue’s swanky business class 😎
If you want a few more details on this status match, head over to our longer newsletter section.
Or if you want to get straight to matching, use this form to get started!

🥇 Sweet Spot: Fly around Europe for 4k points
Europe! Wooh! Be honest—we all love it there.
We talk a lot about how to get to Europe from the U.S. and Canada, but we don’t often talk a lot about how to get around Europe once you’re there.
And that’s where this sweet spot comes in 😏
In this case, we’re going to be looking at Virgin Atlantic and taking advantage of their award pricing—mainly, the fact that they calculate distance flow from the total starting and ending point of an itinerary across any and all flights.
That might seem obvious and like how every distance-based award chart works, but… there’s a sneaky way you could technically fly further for fewer miles in this case 👀
Maximizing this sweet spot takes a bit more explaining than I have room for in this weekend round-up newsletter, so if you’re interested in how this might work in your favor, check out our full-length newsletter for all the details.
🥈 Do you have a side hustle?
I promise I’m not just being nosey, but… I am a little curious 😊
I know for a fact that many of you have recently signed up for our top business card because of its INSANE welcome offer (120,000 UR points type of insane).
Oh the things I would do with 120,000 UR points… 🤤
And I know the word “business” in a credit card’s name is a big turn-off to most people.
You probably think, “Business credit cards don’t apply to me. I don’t have a business.”
As it turns out, though, you very well might have your own business if you walk dogs, do photography, or make goods to sell on Etsy (among many other things).
In fact, the DD team got so curious that we created a poll in our Facebook Lounge to ask those of you who HAVE signed up for a business card what you put as your second income or side hustle to get approved.
And here are those results 👇
I’m not surprised at all to see online businesses/services, real estate, and freelancing on that list.
But I WAS pleasantly surprised to see a professional athlete and dancer on there!
Anyway, the bottom line is this:
Contrary to what you may think, you do NOT need a massive, multi-million dollar company under your belt to apply for a business credit card.
These cards also usually have some of the best welcome offers, like our current top business card does.
It’d be a shame to miss out on earning so many points, so we wanted to highlight this particular card before its elevated offer ends on September 5th at 9 AM EST 👀
📣 Quick Callouts
❌ Expired: Southwest’s 25% award sale
❌ Expired: Book $34 flights with JetBlue’s “Big Fall Sale”
🤗 Good deal: Buy Marriott points with a mystery bonus.
🤨 Sneaky: Bilt (very quietly) drops another transfer partner
✈️ Not great: Avianca announces devaluation (but it’s not ALL bad)
🤓 Travel trivia: Which European landmark was the most-visited tourist attraction last year?
Thanks for joining me again on this fine weekend (or welcome, if you’re new here 😊).
I’m off to indulge in my third gelato of the day while here in Italy… and I hope you also enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Ciao, and ci vediamo ❤️
