Gooood morning, friends! A LOT of exciting stuff happened this week, and I’m here to get you up to speed 🙌
We have no time to waste, though, so let’s get straight to it.
✅ Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines point transfers are now LIVE.
✅ Can you take advantage of this new Hyatt promo to earn double points?
✅ Major updates from Southwest Airlines (including… adding airline partners??)
✅ Catch up on our latest YouTube video about positioning flights.
✅ This week’s podcast dishes out the details on some really great ways to save on your accommodations while traveling.
🏆 Favorite pick of the week: Our most popular card has a SECOND elevated offer!
The unthinkable has happened.
If you had asked past me, “Will this card ever get a second elevated welcome offer in the same year?”
I would have answered…
“Imagine the word ‘no’ in every known language. Now imagine it in languages which may not yet be known. Now combine all of those, and that is the level of ‘no’ I would have confidently stated to you.”
This is historic. It’s never happened before, but our most popular card has a NEW elevated welcome offer where you can earn 60,000 bonus points plus a $300 travel credit after you spend $4,000 in the first three months 😱
I’m clutching my figurative pearls.
We sent out a Red Alert for this major update (because duh), and it provides ALL of the good-to-know details with branded terms and everything 😏
If you haven’t read the good news yet, go check out our Red Alert now!
🏃🏻♀️ Runner-Ups
🥇Alaska Airlines Sweet Spots
For starters, you usually need points to book an airline’s sweet spots in the first place… something that was hard to come by for Alaska until its recent merge with Hawaiian Airlines.
This merge now allows us to transfer MR points to Alaska via Hawaiian. Which is pretty rad.
And not only does Alaska actually have a pretty decent loyalty program, but they’re also a member of the Oneworld alliance, so you can use their miles to book flights all around the world.
And being part of that alliance is where these sweet spots come into play. For example:
Use just 4,500 Alaska miles to book American Airlines flights around the U.S.
Use 15,000 Alaska miles to book Qatar’s Qsuites on shorter routes 🤯
Get a FREE stopover on any award ticket when booking with Alaska’s own program.
But because I don’t have the space to expand on all these sweet spots here, head over to our original newsletter section that provides additional examples and information about why getting and using some Alaska miles is now more valuable than ever!
🥈 Flying Blue’s latest offer for cheap flights
Each month, we feature Flying Blue’s latest promo that promises award flights between North America and Europe for as little 15,000 miles one way 🙌
If you’re unfamiliar with Flying Blue, it’s the joint loyalty program of Air France and KLM—two solid airlines that’ll get you to major cities in Europe.
But before we get into this month’s deals, just know that you can transfer your points and miles from every major bank over to Flying Blue, which is awesome 😎
And lucky for all of us spread out across the U.S. and Canada, there are a ton of award flights available to and from these cities below:
You just have to book your flight by the end of this month for travel from now until March 31, 2025.
We love these Flying Blue promos because they’re simple and straightforward…
And with that, I have nothing left to say but to check the routes and grab a great award flight if it fits in with your future travel plans!
📣 Quick Callouts
❌ Expired: Award Drop: 40% discount on Turkish Airlines
❌ Expired: Southwest 40% sale (both cash and points)
😏 Intriguing: Convert your hotel points to airline miles (with a bonus)
✈️ Bummer: Virgin Atlantic announced a devaluation (but there is some good news)
💳 Targeted: New Delta merchant offers of certain cards
🤓 Travel trivia: Can you name the largest nation in the world without a single river?
I still can’t believe that we’re seeing ANOTHER elevated welcome offer come through on our most popular card…
This has truly never happened twice in the same year before—so we’re living through historic times right now, folks 😎
Anyway, enough fan-girling. Have a lovely weekend, and I’ll see you next time!
