Good morning from somewhere over the ocean! I’m enjoying my last few hours of internet before I go dark for a few days.
So today, let’s talk about some light, fun travel tips from some of our favorite domestic airlines:

🌎 Frontier’s new Earth Week sale
Earth. Some love it; some hate it. Personally, I’m not a huge fan.
On the other hand, Frontier Airlines loves Earth so much that they’re offering a 50% discount on flights for the next four months to celebrate Earth Day on April 22.
Sounds great, right?
Well, it’s not as simple as it sounds. But for frequent Frontier-flying fans (pardon the alliteration), you could save some serious cash on flights.
Here is the fine print of this offer:
50% discount applies to the base fare only (not taxes and fees)
You must book your flights by April 25
Flights can take place through August 18
You must use promo code FLYGREEN at checkout
Blackout dates apply (see them here)
You must book a round-trip for the discount to apply
Only valid for Tuesday and Wednesday travel (😑)
Yeah, that last point is really a downer… As you can see, it’s fairly restricted. So while Frontier might love Earth, they don’t really love us.
Still, if you can plan your travel for a Tuesday or Wednesday, you could save a bunch of money — especially on more expensive routes.
For example, flying round-trip from Atlanta (ATL) to Punta Cana (PUJ) in June will cost you just $292, which isn’t bad.
But be careful… Airlines like Frontier like to get sneaky, too.
For example, if you fly from Denver (DEN) to Las Vegas (LAS), you might get excited to see a round-trip fare for just $78. Wooh!
But as you can see, your 50% savings equate to just $0.34 each way.
In this case, the “fare” for each flight is less than a dollar, while the taxes are $76. And remember — the sale doesn’t apply to the taxes.
In this case, there’s literally no benefit to using this promo code, flying Frontier, or working around the restrictive sale schedule.
So here’s the bottom line:
Check out some of these routes, and if you can save a good amount of money, great! But watch out for their sneaky pricing tactics, too. 🤔

✈️ United MilePlay is back!
United is back with another round of their Mile Play offers!
If you’ve never seen these before, it’s United’s way of gamifying travel by offering rewards (usually in the form of United miles) in exchange for completing travel requirements.
These offers are all targeted and vary by account. Sometimes, you might not be eligible for any offer. 😭
This time around, I checked my account and found this tasty deal to earn 8,100 bonus United miles for completing two “trips.”
This is actually a pretty solid offer, considering how simple the requirements are:
Must be completed by June 18, 2025
Each “trip” can be a single flight or a round-trip
Each trip must cost at least $175 before taxes and fees
If this had popped up a month ago, I definitely would’ve booked my flights to and from Mexico City on United…
They have some great deals that would hit the $175 mark and still be worth the cost:
Of course, you’ll want to make sure you get all the way to United’s checkout page and ensure the base fare of your flight meets the spending requirement before the taxes and fees.
But go to this page on United’s site, enter your frequent flyer number, and see what you’ve been targeted with.
You might have a better offer with more miles and/or a lower spending requirement!

🤓 Travel Trivia Tuesday

And the correct answer is… Singapore Changi Airport (SIN)!
Yep, again. Changi just won the title of World’s Best Airport for the 13th time, according to the 2025 Skytrax Awards…
…and if you’ve ever been there, you probably aren’t surprised.
It’s got the world’s largest indoor waterfall (called the Rain Vortex), a 10
-story mall with over 80 million annual visitors, butterfly gardens, spas, a movie theater, a dinosaur theme park, and even award-winning washrooms.
Yeaaah, toilets made the list of reasons it’s the best.
I mean… I get it.
You can check in up to 48 hours before your flight just to hang out at the airport. That’s how fun this place is. It also took home awards for Best Airport Dining and Best Airport in Asia because… of course it did.
Meanwhile, airports across Asia dominated the rankings this year, with Qatar’s Hamad International and both of Tokyo’s major airports making the top five.
The only North American airport to make the top 20? Vancouver at #13. ✌️
