Good morning from some remote-ass place in the Balkans. Iā€™m feeling the burn from some marathon travel days, so letā€™s finish off the week before I pass out. šŸ’Ŗ

Hereā€™s what Iā€™ve got for you:

šŸ’³ Capital One Offers are LIT right now

Okay. So whenever I make a purchase literally anywhere, I always try to use a shopping portal.

I generally go where the rewards are best, and that place has recently been Capital One Offers.

And no, Iā€™m not talking about the browser extension that many of you haveā€¦ Iā€™m talking about the offers you get access to in your Capital One account when you hold the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card.

In the past, theyā€™ve offered cash back for these merchants.

But a couple of months ago, they changed to offering Capital One miles insteadā€¦ and a LOT of them.

Today, I went into my account and found a plethora of pretty insane offers.

Various Capital One offers

To recap the few of them in that screenshotā€¦

  • 8x miles at Marriott

  • 12x miles at Expedia

  • 9x miles at Trip.com

  • 10x miles at Hilton

  • 20x miles at Agoda

You get the point. Thatā€™s INSANE. Keep in mind that with hotels, youā€™re still technically booking directly with them.

So youā€™ll also earn points, elite nights, etc., when using this portal on top of the tasty Capital One Miles.

For example, I will spend three nights at the Marriott hotel in Tirana, Albania, in a few days. Because itā€™s the off-season, it only costs about $150 per night.

A 3-night, $450 stay here would earn me 3,600 Capital One Miles on top of the 13,000 Marriott points Iā€™ll earn and six elite night credits from the current promotion.

3,600 Capital One miles is amazing for a single hotel stay like that.

Just the other day, I told you about how much I love Trip.com.

I just booked a flight from Lahore, Pakistan, to Jakarta for $389 later this year through Trip because they had the best price. šŸ‘‡

Example of a flight I booked on Trip.com

Now, Iā€™ll also earn 3,447 Capital One miles from that purchase.

That is an insane return on spend, folks - keep in mind that you can transfer Capital One miles to all kinds of airline and hotel programs.

Iā€™ve told you a million times about how I use Airalo for eSIMs on my phone basically everywhere on earth. With Capital One Offers, youā€™re earning 13x miles on those purchases.

Crazy.

Of course, as I mentioned, you need a card that earns Capital One miles in order to have access to these.

Thankfully, the literal best credit card offer of all time is happening right now.

The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is offering 75,000 miles AND a $250 travel credit for signing up and meeting the spend requirement.

Given that the annual fee is less than $100, you get $1,500 worth of miles, $250 of travel credit, and access to offers that could earn you tens of thousands of bonus miles per year.

There has truly never been a better time to be alive. Or sign up for this card. So go do that.

āœˆļø This bank added a new transfer partner

Speaking of ways to use Capital One milesā€¦

Capital One just added a tasty new transfer partner. But unfortunately, the ratio is not so tastyā€¦

Transfer Capital One miles to JetBlue at a crappy ratio

As you can see, you can now transfer Capital One miles to JetBlue at a disturbing 5:3 ratio.

This means that sending 1,000 Capital One miles will result in just 600 JetBlue points.

If you were lucky enough to catch this yesterday like I was, Capital One was even offering 5,000 bonus JetBlue points when you made your first transfer:

(Now expired) bonus point offer from Capital One

I did this right away and was going to tell yā€™all to do it too, but it seems they pulled the plug almost immediately. šŸ˜

Still, itā€™s worth checking your account just in case some people still see it and can turn 1,000 Capital One miles into 5,600 JetBlue points.

Anyway, hereā€™s the good news:

Capital One has been adding more and more transfer partners in recent years.

Even if the transfer ratios are suboptimal, itā€™s nice to have a points currency that gives you so many options.

If you are in a pinch, transferring your miles at a less-than-ideal ratio isnā€™t the worst thing ever.

After all, a free flight is a free flight!
