š¤© OOOOO!! A crazy new credit card welcome offer just droppedā¦ Itās a perfect way to rack up tens of thousands of our favorite transferrable points without paying an annual fee. Check it out here.
Good morning, beautiful people!
Surgeons often say, āItās a beautiful day to save lives.ā Here, we believe, āItās a beautiful day to use miles and points.ā
Scalpel, please. Letās get started:
- šØĀ IHG Promo: 2k points every 2 nights
- š Marriott and Uber are offering 2,500 bonus points
- š¤Ā Current transfer bonuses
šØ IHG Promo: 2k points every 2 nights
Itās been a hot minute since weāve talked about IHG, huh? I think itās time to show them some loveā¦
For the next two months, you can earn a bonus 2,000 IHG points for every two nights you stay, with no earning cap.
Here are the details:
- Earn 2,000 bonus points for every two nights you stay
- Valid for stays between April 1st and May 31st
- You must register for the offer before your first stay
- There is no limit on how many points you can earn from this promo
So, is this offer worth getting out of bed for?
The answer is yes... but also, you can sit in bed and do this from the comfort of your computer, so also... no?
2,000 points isn't anything to write home aboutā¦
But it's also a very easy promotion to take advantage of. Unlike some other promos, you don't need to break up your stays into 2-night chunks.
If you book a 13-night stay and then a separate 5-night stay a month later, you'll still get the full 18,000 bonus points.
Depending on how expensive those stays are, 18,000 points (in addition to the points you earn already) could be a really nice return on your purchase.Ā
Here's an example:
Let's say you book a 6-night stay at this hotel in Minneapolis in a couple of weeks after the promo kicks off.
You would earn 4,740 points just for being an IHG member, plus 6,000 bonus points from the promo.
You're more than doubling your earnings from the stay, which can be used for additional hotel nights all over the world.
Plus, if you have IHG elite status, you will earn even more points.
For example, I have a 4-night stay coming up at a Holiday Inn in Jakarta, which only costs $34 a night becauseā¦ wellā¦ Asia. š¤·š¼āāļø
My stay will cost $148 total (after taxes) and earn me the following points:
- 1,480 points from being a member
- 1,480 points from holding this card
- 888 points for being a Platinum member
- 4,000 points from the promo
- Total: 7,848 points
While 7,848 points isnāt a TON, itās a SOLID return on spend considering the 4-night stay cost less than $150ā¦
In fact, thatās enough points to book me TWO more nights in Semarang, which I am already planning to visit later anyway, at a different IHG hotel for just 3,750 points per nightā¦
So, in my case (albeit a very unique case), Iām getting six total hotel nights for less than $150ā¦ Not too shabby, eh?
Anywayā¦
Whether youāre off on an adventure like me, road-tripping around the U.S., or need a quick staycation at a cheap hotel near home, this promo is a great way to maximize the return on your IHG spending, especially if you also hold a cobranded credit card.
š Marriott and Uber are offering 2,500 bonus points
The hotel and ride-share giants have had a long-term relationship for a hot minute now. This partnership allows Bonvoy members to earn bonus points when spending with Uber and Uber Eats.
This current promo is for new members who havenāt linked their two accounts yet, so if youāve yet to do so, hereās some motivation becauseā¦
New members can earn up to 2,500 bonus Marriott points when you link your Uber/Uber Eats account with your Marriott Bonvoy account.
More specifically, hereās how you can score those bonus points:
- Earn 500 bonus points just for linking your two accounts
- Earn 1,000 bonus points when you complete a qualifying ride with Uber (includes Uber XL, Comfort, or Black)
- Earn 1,000 bonus points when you place a qualifying food or grocery order with Uber Eats (must be $40 or more before fees)
Itās also important to note that this promo is valid through April 15, 2024 š
Are 2,500 points a groundbreaking amount? Nope.
But is it more than youād normally get? YEP.
I am 100% all for smaller bonuses like this because it all adds up, folks.
So the bottom line is this: If youāve never linked a free Marriott account to a free Uber account, now is a nice time to do that and earn a little bonus along the way š
