đ TSA's touchless ID program is headed this way, and American Airlines passengers will be the first to test it. Read more about it here.
Good morning from rainy London! I just had a chaotic layover after accidentally entering the U.K. instead of transiting⌠oops.
Anyway, Iâm going to try and crank out some content for you guys with whatâs left of this layover:
𤊠JetBlueâs status match just got better
As you may remember, JetBlue has a status match going on. Itâs a rare occurrence for them, so itâs something any U.S. traveler should pay attention to.
To make it even better, JetBlue has expanded the list of airlines that they will match from. But more on that in a minute.
First, let me refresh your memory on how this match works and why you should care.
If you have elite status with another U.S. airline, JetBlue will offer you a corresponding level of Mosaic status for three months.
During those three months, you can complete certain requirements to extend that status through the end of the following year.
Here is the new list of eligible airlines and statuses:
As you can see, the list now includes airlines like Spirit and Frontier.
I was particularly excited to also see Southwest on the list. I know a TON of you have Southwest A-list status, so this is a great opportunity to parlay that into another valuable status.
The exciting part is that although you canât match to Mosaic Level 3, you can earn it during that three-month period.
Here is what youâll need to do to retain or upgrade your status through the following elite year:
Mosaic 1: Earn 10 Tiles
Mosaic 2: Earn 25 Tiles
Mosaic 3: Earn 40 Tiles
For reference, âTilesâ are the elite currency of JetBlue, and earning them is very simple to understand:
At the minimum, you can retain Mosaic 1 by simply spending $1,000 on JetBlue flights, which isnât insane for many flyers.
To be clear, even if you match to Mosaic 1, you can still earn Mosaic 2 or 3 if you earn enough Tiles in those three months, which is awesome.
Having JetBlue Mosaic status can be meaningful, and each level offers some great benefits. đ
If you earn Mosaic 3, youâll also get four Mint upgrades, allowing you to upgrade your seat into JetBlueâs famous Mint business class.
JetBlue normally offers something they call âPerks You Pickâ benefits, where elite members get to pick some extra benefits.
While this doesnât apply to members who match to status, JetBlue is still offering a pre-selected perk for each level, which is great:
Mosaic 1: Mint suite priority, offering a priority selection when you book a Mint suite
Mosaic 2: Pet fee waiver, worth $125 per flight
So, these are not the most exciting perks, but they could be meaningful to some of you.
Anyway, hereâs the bottom line:
JetBlue rarely offers status matches like thisâŚ
Having status with them can unlock some nice perks and even potential upgrade awards to their business-class Mint suites.
If you want to give another airline a try, fill out the status match form here. As a final note, it can take up to four weeks to process applications, so be patient. đ

For many of us, the free shipping perk and access to exclusive shows and movies is enough reason to fork over the $14.99 per month to get Prime.
But if those reasons haven't been enough to entice you to join Prime, maybe some of these lesser-known incentives will tempt you to sign up đ

âď¸ Qatar just launched a new tool to help us find award seats
Qatar has decided to follow in the footsteps of airlines like Virgin Atlantic by rolling out a new Award Seat Checker, which will show a calendar view of award availability.
This is great news. You may remember when I walked you through the obnoxious process of finding Qsuite availability using other programs like American Airlines.
This takes one of those steps out but also shows general availability and pricing for the economy, including âClassicâ and âFlexiâ award pricing.
In case you donât know, âClassicâ awards are the ânormalâ price for awards... âFlexiâ awards are just double that price.
So, while a normal business-class flight from Chicago to Doha runs 70,000 Avios, a Flexi award will cost 140,000.
Itâs not great, but at least they make awards available to people who are willing to shell out a little more.
Anyway, using this new tool is simple.
You just go to this page on their website, log in with your Qatar account, search for your cities and dates, and youâll see a calendar pop up with availability and pricing.
There is some glitching going on right now, just so yâall are awareâŚ
I tried searching for dozens of Qsuites flights and only found economy pricing showing up on the calendar (even when business was available).
Still, Iâm sure theyâll work out that little detail soon. And in the meantime, seeing which dates have âclassicâ pricing is still super useful. đ
đ [Targeted] Earn 30k MR points by flying with ANA
This deal is coming to you as a merchant offer from one of our favorite families of cards.
Iâm seeing this on my premium card that earns MR points, but you may also see it sitting pretty on its golden counterpart or elsewhere.
This current offer will grant you a whopping 30,000 MR points if you spend $2,000 on flights with Japanese airline All Nippon Airways (ANA).
You must add this offer to your card and book your flights with ANA before December 31, 2024. This doesnât mean you have to travel before the end of the year.
We advocate using your miles and points whenever it makes sense to do so, but sometimes, you just canât pass up an amazing offer to use cash.
For example, ANA operates many direct flights to Japan (an excellent reason to take advantage of this offer and go to one of the best countries in the world!!).
And many of these round-trip flights to Tokyo hover around $1,000âlike these departing from Seattle, Los Angeles, Houston, and Vancouver (just to name a few) đ
Have a travel companion coming along? BOOM. A trip for two will easily hit the required spend.
And to capitalize on this even more, if you do use this premium card to pay for your flights, you could earn 5x points per dollarâŚ. Earning you 10,000 extra MR points⌠đŽ
Thatâs 40,000 total points earned for $2,000 on flightsâa GREAT return on your spend.
Just remember that this offer is targeted, so if you do see it in your account, add it to your card before itâs gone!
Thatâs all, folks! Make sure you tune in tomorrow for an update on the Daily Drop Million Mile Challenge and some NERDY info on how to find fare types and predict your mileage earnings.
Until then,
