Good morning from balmy Abu Dhabi! I’ve been eating my weight in dates and hummus, but I’ve conserved enough energy to still update you on the latest travel happenings.

Let’s get to it👇

✅ Book a free stopover with Alaska Airlines.

✅ Attention, all grads! Here’s how you can book a post-grad trip using one credit card.

✅ New 40% transfer bonus from Capital One miles to Etihad.

✅ Do you have this merchant offer in your account for $300 off a Qatar Airways flight??

✅ Want to use Google Flights like a pro? Our latest YouTube video will show you how.

🏆 Favorite pick: 3-Day Getaway using the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card

I get it. I used to work a 9-5 job as a healthcare provider where PTO was scarce, and I couldn’t go gallivanting around the world on a whim 💃

I was queen of the three-day getaway back then, and if that’s your current situation, there are plenty of ways you can use the current welcome offer from the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card to make a dreamy trip happen — sans PTO.

To be clear, after meeting the spend requirement, you could earn 75,000 bonus Capital One miles plus a $250 travel credit… so rad.

Mike wrote an entire section in an earlier newsletter highlighting how you could do this.

Intrigued? 😏 It showcases:

  • Covering the cost of flights (you can either transfer to Capital One’s airline partners or offset ANY travel purchase at one cent per mile)

  • Using miles to book a hotel through the Capital One Travel portal

  • Using more miles to transfer to a Wyndham property for additional nights

  • Paying for Flixbus tickets by, again, offsetting that travel purchase with miles

And the best part? This entire trip he dreamed up uses only half of the miles you earned by applying for and meeting the spending requirement of the Venture Card.

🏃🏻‍♀️ Runner-Ups

🥇Alaska Airlines Global Getaways is back

A few times a year, Alaska launches its Global Getaways award sale that usually has a fun theme attached to the destinations they’ll fly you to.

Last time, it was famous skiing spots, but this time, they’re “Embracing the World’s Natural Beauty.”

This might be my favorite Global Getaways to date! Check out some of these amazing destinations 👇

All I can think of is gorgeous nature with these places 😍

In fact, Iceland is one of my favorite countries, and I used a whole heck of a lot more points to get there last time. So, seeing that I’d need just 17,500 miles to get to this beautiful tundra of an island is just so good.

Also… getting to Vietnam for just 30,000 miles? Wild. Freaking Uzbekistan for just 20,000 miles? CRAZY.

Just make sure you book by April 11th for travel through July 31st to get these rates.

🥈 20% Award Sale with Singapore Airlines

Yoooo, Singapore Airlines comin’ in hot with a 20% off award sale to celebrate their program obtaining ten million frequent flier members!

Here’s what’s up:

  • Book by March 23, 2025

  • Travel between May 1 and November 15, 2025 🎉

  • Economy worldwide and premium economy to/from the U.S. are included

  • Blackout dates apply — check the full list here

  • Only applies to KrisFlyer miles redemptions (not cash fares)

  • You’ll see discounted rates in the normal search results on the website or app

As one example, you could fly this popular route between Newark (EWR) and Singapore (SIN) in premium economy for 64,000 KrisFlyer miles, thanks to the 20% award sale👇

If I’m going to torture myself by flying for almost 20 hours, you better believe it’s not going to be in economy. Hell no. 🙃

And if I/you/we didn’t want to shell out 80,000 miles for business, then flying in premium economy is a happy medium (and much more comfortable than economy, obvi).

Also, fortunately for all of us, you can transfer miles and points from most major banks over to Singapore.

So if you have any of the cards on our best travel credit cards list, you’re likely already set!

📣 Quick Callouts

That’s all for now. I’m curious, though… 👇
