A lot has been happening in the credit card world lately—so much that you might have missed a few major updates.
The biggest one? The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is currently running what we’d argue is the best offer in the game right now.
Here’s the offer: Earn 75,000 miles once you spend $4,000 on purchases within the first 3 months, plus receive a one-time $250 Capital One Travel credit in your first cardholder year – that’s equal to $1,000 in travel.. That’s like getting an instant rebate on the fee and then some.
Why Capital One Miles Are So Valuable
Aside from the usual transfer partners (airlines and hotels), Capital One miles have an overlooked perk that makes them ultra-flexible: you can use them to offset any travel purchase at a fixed rate of 1 cent per mile.
That means rideshares, trains, bus tickets, and even random flight deals can be booked and erased with points.
Let’s say you’re flying between New York and New Orleans.
A Spirit Airlines flight could be booked for 9,900 Capital One miles.
The same flights on other programs would require way more:
14,000 JetBlue points
18,000 Delta SkyMiles
13,000 American Airlines miles
So, in this case, using Capital One miles at a flat rate is the best move. This offer won’t last forever, so if you’re considering it, now’s the time to pull the trigger.
The Delta Card I (Mike) Just Signed Up For
We’re talking….the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card—which currently has an elevated welcome offer.
Do I fly Delta often? Nope.
Do I want a ton of SkyMiles? Not really.
So why on earth would I get this card? Well, I have my reasons…
1. The Credits Are Insane
I went for the business version because, despite the same annual fee as the personal one, it comes with way more credits:
$200 in Delta Stays credits
$120 in rideshare credits
$120 in Resy credits
That’s $440 in credits for an annual fee of ($350 Annual Fee), making the card effectively “free” if you use them.
2. The Perks Are Solid
Beyond the credits, the card comes with benefits that can add serious value:
Annual Companion Certificate (great for domestic or international flights)
15% off Delta award bookings (on flights operated by Delta)
2,500 MQDs toward status (not useful for me, but good for status chasers)
The 15% discount on award flights alone is a killer benefit. I found flights from New York to London for just 22,900 Delta miles with the discount—huge savings on long-haul flights.
3. The Bonus Miles Have Specific Uses
The welcome offer of 100,000 SkyMiles is an easy way to score cheap travel, and I already know where I’ll use them.
U.S. to Mexico for 10,000 SkyMiles one-way (an absolute steal)
Intra-Asia flights like Jakarta to Tokyo for 22,500 SkyMiles in economy or 40,000 in business
At 7-8 hours of flight time, that’s like getting a U.S.-to-Europe-level redemption for Asia flights.
Even if I use a few of these miles for business class flights, I’m getting thousands of dollars in value from this card’s bonus.
Hilton Is Back With Wild Free Night Offers
Last but not least, Hilton just dropped new offers on their cards, and they all include Free Night Certificates—even on the no-annual-fee version.
The best part? Hilton Free Night Certificates have no cap. As long as a standard room is available, you can book any property.
For example, last year, I used a Free Night Award at the Katara Hills Resort in Doha—where rooms go for $2,000 per night or 120,000 Hilton points. And since every room is a two-floor villa with a private pool, it was easily my best-ever Free Night redemption.
Final Thoughts
If you’ve been waiting for the right time to grab a new travel credit card, this is it. These offers are some of the best we’ve seen, and they won’t last forever. Between Capital One’s ridiculous flexibility, Delta’s high-value perks, and Hilton’s insane free nights, now’s a great time to stack some serious travel benefits.
